Vivant-CIPC Computer Laboratory Ribbon Cutting at Guadalupe Elementary School

One of our first two projects, the Vivant-CIPC Computer Laboratory at Guadalupe Elementary School.
When visiting schools around the country, we observed that DepEd is already doing a great job in providing schools with computer equipment as long as they meet the requirements of having a lab – sufficient electrical set up to support the equipment, aircons to keep the room cool while the equipment is running and bars on the doors and windows to ensure that their investment of equipment is safe.
The Vivant Foundation, along with our partners the Vivant Corporation, CIPC and Gigawatt Power, took an existing room and made sure it met these requirements so that DepEd can do their share and provide the equipment, as we’ve seen them successfully do throughout the country. The existing building was constructed by the parents, many of whom are laborers in the rapidly expanding Coron, which is fast becoming a popular island getaway. The initial funds were raised by the teachers themselves, led by their principal, Heidi Garcellano. We know that with a team like theirs, we’ve left this project in good hands.
