VMHI has been granted a Hydropower Service Contract by the Department of Energy (DOE) to exclusively develop the site for electricity generation. The plant will tap the Malogo River, one of the six major rivers in the province, for this purpose. Vivant Energy Corporation owns 67% equity in VMHI. Its partner is Fifth Gen Silay Corporation.
