EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERISM

Vivant believes in community involvement at all levels. We started our Employee Volunteerism programs in 2009 with our annual tree planting. In 2017, we have expanded our programs to include Brigada Eskwela, using Vivant Volunteers not just to execute, but to lead.

Tree Planting
Vivant’s earliest projects have been environmental. As well as ensuring that all our plants are compliant with DENR regulations, our earliest CSR projects were tree planting activities that began in 2009 and continue to this day. All our tree planting activities are done in partnership with the Philippine Businesses for Social Progress (PBSP) and utilize a system of planting several indigenous species for long- term ecological sustainability. Brigada Eskwela
Starting in 2017, Vivant has become involved in DepEd’s annual Brigada Eskwela program. Volunteers from the company are encouraged to identify recipient schools whether these are schools that they attend, their children attend, or where they live. Vivant employees take roles as leaders who identify the schools and their areas for help, volunteers who come to the schools to implement the projects, or donors who contribute to the funds needed to get the programs off the ground. In 2013, one of the most devastating natural disasters in history devastated the Philippines. Vivant was on hand to help the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (known as Haiyan internationally), particularly the residents of Medellin in the north of our home island of Cebu. Learn More
